O come on you know you at least have to see the pics of it!

Ha! I see I've got you hunting...
Look great, but "needs work" sounds like a lot of work.

boy is that windshield a pillbox. It doesn't look terrible though. Still debating what to do with my Willys- I can safely say a chop top is not on the table.

Wow. Those proportions are borked. Is that a 70s Dart rear bumper?
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:05 |

At first I thought you meant they chopped the top off and I was excited. Looking at it all I can think is that it feels like they need to lower it if this is the look they are going to go for.

This looks strangely Soviet. Like something that had been lend-leased and was then transformed into some sort of hybrid armored bear transport for crazy people.

oh man I dunno, but I know it isn't stock with those inlaid tail lamps.

It's funny I like it straight on in the first pic, but it all goes to hell when you turn the corner

lol
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:09 |

OH YEAH I forgot you had one. What kind do you have? Is it a non-wrecked version of this?
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:09 |

yeah thanks for that pal .... lol
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:09 |

looks like it could be the main character in the next car themed horror movie. I kinda like it
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:11 |

Yeah I hear ya. I think if it were lower it'd look better.

Its a 1952 wagon . Its a cross between the van and the passenger model in that it has 4 windows instead of 2 or 6. I'd post a picture but I cant... Its been sitting for a while on jack stands. The land cruiser has been taking up most of my time planning for the engine swap.
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:18 |

I really like the front, as soon as you go around.........it all goes down hill quick
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:20 |

maybe. It might be a rake issue or maybe just the pictures. I like the hard edged grille but soft round body for a tough, it means business look and the tires show it's offroad ability.
It just kind of gives you a "I just don't know" feeling about it.

Glad I could be of service.

does it run or is it on jack stands for a reason?
I think I remember a post you had saying which vehicles should I get rid of? Was that you?
I remember saying to keep the Willys lol
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:21 |

Kinda like it, I agree wit everyone though needs to be lowered.
Might ask look better if it was a panel wagon without the side windows.

She runs. Needs to be tuned and needs a new fuel system. Put it on jacks because I was trying to get her running and never took her off. The post I did in the past mostly had to do with whether or not to keep her stock or do something a little more exotic and basically just keep the body.

Sad part is, if I brought home a classic 4x4 Willys or Jeep my wife would probably be happy about it (she showed me a listing a friend of hers posted of a 60s truck the other night)

Funny how everyone says lowered.
I'd rather see it go UP

Nice. I agree with all those old posts about keeping the paint as is.
I'd personally swap in a V8 add mud tires and maybe a mild lift.

This is not sad. This is the opposite of that.
I'm still trying to convince my wife that there are valid reasons for me to have more than one car...

heres a project one nearby me that they literally chopped the roof off of. I never want you to leave disappointed lol

Hahaha, it's sad because I can't afford to go BUY ONE.
I just sent her this one, i bet she says she loves it.
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:38 |

Yeah that's what my gut is telling me to do. I also like the California patina and want to keep that. My only hesitation is "destroying" a decently well preserved example and also the fact that I already have an off-road truck with mud tires. Good problems to have though.

I had to click through to make sure it wasn't a four-door or three door that had been desecrated. Whew - dodged a bullet.

she just replied, all she said was
"love it"
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:47 |

yea really. I guess you'll just have to give it to me then....
![]() 08/21/2014 at 12:48 |

*continues to have no shame*
![]() 08/21/2014 at 13:40 |

lol. Well you said you came here looking for one with NO roof, so I had to supply one after you went out of your way to get me a pic of the side mount spare the other day...
![]() 08/21/2014 at 13:41 |
|
That's what keeps me coming back.

You got a good one.

I wish I could afford to just go buy it.
